Someone from this pub was handing out leaflets advertising their Christmas meal deal of £64.00 for 4 people at the 30 November Public Sector strike. Our group politely declined and the woman got very aggressive. I simply explained that all of my work parties were already booked and I wouldn't be able to afford anything else and didn't want to waste her leaflet. We were, after all, at a strike over pensions and pay and were not being paid that day. She aggressively said we could give it to friends. We said thank you anyway and she said, 'You're NOT welcome!'. First of all, I think it was an inappropriate place to try to get business and if that is what their customer service is like then we will politely decline. They just lost 6 potential customers- and we will tell our friends!
