I stumbled across the Marlbororough arms in chester by complete luck while on holidays last week and what can i say possibly one of the best pubs i've entered in my 25 years of drinking

its rustic old styled wooden floor suprising complimented the style of the pub. Which was more surprising was the fact that for a old styled pub there was a large mix of young and old custom.

the inside of the bar consisted of long wooden benches which I thought was an excellent idea for large groups.

on appoaching the bar their fridges were stocked with one of the largest selections of speciality beers i'd ever seen.

Indecsive about what to puchase the bartender (who was irish and obviously knew her beer as I found out over the next few hours)recommeded a belgian beer called vedett. I'd never heard of it before but i became an instant fan.

overall, excellent pub with good beer selection and friendly staff
