my review is outdated i suppose but i will give it even for my own pleasure. Many years ago i would travel on fridays from the lakes get off the train in leeds be met off the train by a beautiful leeds[tingley] girl and was whisked off to that welcoming pubTHE SHIP,I know its years ago but friends of mine have their stag nights in leeds and the port of call is this hostelry and it is still the best place to have a good time.In my day the theatre castes would join us in the bar.I was chuffed one evening when the leading lady thought I was BILLY FURY,just as well I wasnt asked to sing.my companion was maureen peatfield I do hope she is well and still uses THE SHIP

Superb little pub, what a find! Amazing food, think it's all homemade too which seems rare in Leeds, we couldn't find anywhere else in the city centre that could claim that! Chatty & smart staff & a complete contrast to the busy shopping street of Briggate, a nice compliment to Harvey Nics though.

Well worth a visit, seemingley they hold live events & although we went during the day we'll try & get back for the quiz or open mic nights.
