What a place to be at the weekend The Blane valley in glassford street a traditional old style pub with a bang up to date attitude

we came across this pub 8 weeks ago and we have been in there every Saturday night since and the occasional Friday as well You saw why its only Karaoke? well no it is not They guys that do the karaoke on a saturday night Del & Kev are 2 really nice guys that know how to entertain Del ...is slightly off his head but in the nicest possible way (hope you are not easily offended) he will have you crying with laughter and his singing is top notch we have made this our new regular place to be at the weekend.. try it you wont be disappointed id also suggest getting in early as it gets very busy at the weekend the clientele are a right mixed bunch of people early 20s right up to the 70s and on

I enjoyed my visit, the food was typical pub grub, good value for money. The regulars were friendly and chatted. To answer a question raised in the other review. The Blane Valley is at the bottom of the Campsies on the road from Milngavie to Killearn or the Aberfoyle road to regular drivers.

Blane Valley (or NEW Blane Valley as its refered to ) looks very inviting from the outside, light coloured exterior with hanging flower baskets outside- inside is nice and tidy also (clean toilets etc)nice seating (nothing fancy but ample)It sits on the edge of the Merchant City but its not a trendy bar & to be fair its not trying to be - good selection of beers, spirits etc aNd staff are nice - it all should work but for me on my visits I found the place a bit sterlile/characterless - it's under new management so maybe it'll get better - still worth a pint now and then but for me its not a "night out pub". Sorry I originally posted this under the wrong Blane Valley in GLasgow (where is Blane Valley anyway to have so many pubs named after it??)
