McGinns or as it has now been rebranded "McGinns Internatonal" is lets say an aquired taste. The bar staff and clientel are without a doubt friendly although it's best to avoid if you have a Rangers allegiance and want to shout about it. The insides are pretty basic with pictures of Matt McGinns LPs on the walls and a few other bits and pieces. Drink selection is ok but not the best and vodka especially is very cheap (Glens and Smirnoff). It has a karaoke night most w/es & singers range from the loud to the drunk & very loud. The phrase bar flys usually relates to guys proping up the bar, in McGinns it also refers to the flys in the toilets - the gents (it's tiny) should be closed by environmental health. Pop in for a drink and some people watching (you'll see some sights)but I wouldn't advise staying too long.
