Brian has done a great job in the pub, but its full of chavs from thornhill and harefield when there is music on and the old people as someone has stated before take up 17 seats each with one coat and never even sit down

Brian and Teresa run a good pub here, and are constantly working hard to build confidence in the area, the food is good, the punters are friendly and welcome any new faces male or female.Probably best to avoid 5pm till 7pm week days,if you have young children, as at that time it tends to be male workers have a pint after work, they show all sports and it can be very busy on match days, but the beer is good, and they are keeping the British pub going, and that can only be a good thing in this day and age, go take a look and check it out, PS never seen any drugs or fighting at this pub, and I have been a regular for around 6 yrs well done Brian and the team, PS staff are very good as well.

this pub used to be great then all the pikies establishments in thornhill, harefield, bitterne and hedge end closed , now all the pikeis come and ruin the web, like UFC47 on a friday and saturday night, full of kids who think they are ard. great atmosphere when the football is on but lack of seating and old people who leave their coats on the table then stand up at the bar really piss me off.

Really nice pub with a great atmosphere and brilliant bar staff. It can get a bit loud and boisterous on the weekends, but that's because it's a busy pub and it's a good thing to see a busy pub now days. And live music is only another attraction. People who live next to pubs and moan should really think about that before they move in. In short good food, good atmosphere, good beer, excellent, friendly staff and really good value.

The landlord claims to be turning the pub around but to my mind he attracts the wrong crowd by playing very loud s

Music late into the night.

Try giving some consideration to your neighbours!

I will be in touch with the council on Monday

i do agree with the previous comment however having visited them recently the change since the new management took over Brian and Teresa has been wonderful it just goes to show how when you have a manager that has passion for their trade and respect for not only their staff but also customers, you can turn a business around

The West end Brewery used to be a great locals pub,Entertainment, music and fun days for all the family. However, since a change in management over last few years the place has gone downhill. I have visited a couple of times over last couple years and have seen no improvement. Won't be visiting again.
