Despite the historical rep as the painter Turner's own pub, there wasn't much of a tourist vibe here. It was just a genuine local community boozer with a nice atmosphere. The Wapping ladies hockey club were in, enjoying a post match snifter while we were there. It was definitely worth ticking the box with a visit.
