As locals what a dire pub with a dire landlord ?? (get off my train ) told one price then charged another. No wonder the place was empty in relation to other venues. Given our money back straightway , odd that presuming it was the correct price. Stay away.

I was in the Castle last Saturday afternoon (28th July) with a group of 27 girls on a hen party from County Durham. I must say I feel compelled to write that although the bar could do with a face lift, the entertainment was brilliant. The DJ or more to the point comedian Joe Curran was sharp witty and very funny and the tears where dripping down my face. I was not the only one neither to find his performance great, many of my friends and girls with me I hardly knew thought he was fab too. The girl who's hen party it was enjoyed it as he got her up to Dirty Dancing and made a fuss of her. I personally think he is wasted in this pub and he should be on a bigger platform to a larger audience. When I do come back and I will, the Castle will be a definite port of call for me and my friends for sure. Katy Longstaff

I went to the Castle last Saturday (26th November)in the afternoon with a group of girls from my home town of Doncaster, it was my friends 28th birthday. On arrival we noticed the DJ/Comedian or moachelre to the point he noticed us. I have to say that I have never laughed so much in all my life the tears were running down my face. He bombarded us with one line jokes and observations and although one or two where near the knuckle the way he delivered them made it very funny. We stayed for a while and everyone enjoyed the banter, especially my friend on her birthday. Although the pub it a bit dated it was the entertainment that made it for us and we will most certainly be back next year.

I reccomend people not to enter this pub as the bar staff are very cheeky, they have no manners, i walk in with my 6 year old son because he wanted the toilet, after watching the lights getting switched on in 2011 and one of the bar staff with brown hair told me to go fuck my self infront of my son. So i had to use the disabled one which was accross the road from tesco Express which smelt of cannabis. To me this is totally out of order and unnessacery!!!

I REPEAT...

DO NOT USE THIS PUB AGAIN!

To those who think the staff are rude they should meet the owner, after a bit of trouble outside which was nothing to do with me as i was smoking when a crowd came past fighting the owner appeared and started to rant and rave and called me white Scottish trash for no reason, dont know if you can be racist to white people but you can to Scots and as more of an insult im actually from northern Ireland and i am not trash,to be fair to be bouncers they backed me up but this horrible man refused to apologise,He may talk with an English accent but he was definitely not caucasian so i suspect he was being racist, will never be back

Always go into the castle on nights out in Blackpool and had a really good time. This time i was really shocked about the bar staffs treatment of the customers. One of our group is a pub landlady and knows the rules around running a pub so was shocked when we asked for a glass of tap water and had the glass banged down on the bar and told "toilet!". this also happened to a lad after us and he was promptly told the toilet as well. new rules state that you cannot refuse tap water when asked for it staff were extremely rude! not usually a light weight but had been drinking all day! want to officially complain but cannot find which brewery runs it?

I have just had the misfortune of a visit to this pub today. The barman serving there today at 2pm is a thief- and not a very good one either.

He gave me change from a five pound note and I had given him a ten pound note. When I challenged him he got aggressive. His pathetic attempt to rob me was lame and he held the extra five pounds change out for me to take yelling aggressively he wasn't going to argue with me. I told him to close the till down and balance it and he would see that he was wrong.

You would be advised to give this bar a very big swerve.

The service is rubbish and the staff are useless. If unless insulting customers then they are more than adequate for the job.

The prices are ok, Have paid more for a pint in other bars.

On a plus side the pool table is only 50 pence, half of what most bars would usually charge.

The doorman are bullies and like to make woman feel intimidated by them. They think they can speak to you as though your trash, its a absolute disgrace. I for one will certainly not set foot in this s**t hole again and i will be making sure everyone i know whom comes to Blackpool in the future doesnt either! Standing on a door insulting woman DOES NOT make you a big man....Quite the opposite infact!..Dont they realise if it wasnt for "us, the customers" spending our money ther these big-bulberous-headed-nobends wouldnt have a job to go to!!!
