Bit disappointed by previous reviews I frequent the Sheffield Tap most weeks when commuting through Sheffield and find the staff to be both polite and helpful as i depend quite alot on their recommondations on beers i dont recognise, wouldnt class myself as a beer ticker but do like to try new beers when i go in these sort of pubs.Dont think ive met the manager so couldnt comment on that. They do offer tasters on most beers so you can try before you buy which I find very helpful on making sure I find something I like. Have also seen them exchange drinks when ends of barrels etc before and have always seemed quite on the ball with this sort of thing.

I totally echo the sentiments of the previous review, I too have frequented the tap on many occasions. Sadly due to a recent incident, which is very similar to the previous post, I will not be returning due to the dismissive, arrogant and patronising manner of the manager

I have visited this pub on numerous occasions. I usually settle for the Thornbridge ales. These ales are always distinctive and enjoyable. However on my last visit I tried a pint of czech lager (forget the name) it was dispensed completely flat and tasted oxidised. I complaned to the barman who was abrupt and rude, the manager eventually came and informed me it was ment to taste that way! I work in a brewery so was unconviced by his excuses. He refused me a refund even tho I only consumed a mouthfull. Needless to say I wont be returning to this pub after such shocking customer service.
