Saturday there's a dj on called dj rootdown who plays breaks and beats.

Sunday there's a guy called Thoby on stage. He plays mostly cover songs but does play his own stuff too. He can play anything from goldie lookin chain to system of a down !!! Well worth a watch.

There's 2 pool tables, a darts board, table tennis, table football, sky sports, 2 quiz machines, 2 fruit machines, a beer garden, a stage for the bands, a jukebox and sound system with all the latest cd's on it.

The drink and food is all well priced. I can highly recommend the lamb and rosemary burgers. And the sirloin is wicked. 6 squid for a 12oz steak !!!

Btw, I don't work for the pub. It's just a really good pub with everything you could want for a good night out.

Top pub with a good mix of locals and students.

Very friendly atmosphere with great barstaff.

There's always something going on in the end and it's free to get into every night.

Have played the quiz night most Mondays and normally do fairly well. Not managed to win the prize yet though. You win a weeks worth of food shopping if you come first which is pretty cool.

There's live music on a Tuesday with an open mic night. Every other Wednesday there's a band called Awen on. They're a folky/celtic roots band and are made up of 2 of the guys from the band Mabon. It's really good music and gets everyone bouncing along.

Thursday is a texas hold'em poker night. It's a lot different to playing online or with your mates. Really good fun.

Friday there's live bands on. There's been some amazing bands on considering there's no entry fee to watch them. One of the best ones I saw was the colour sound experiment who have been playing festivals lately.
