After years of not really going anywhere Terry & Pam Kent took over and so began a 15 year reign bringing top quality artists to the pub, and being awarded Live Music Pub of the Year, year on year, the price of the beer and the smoking ban took its toll and the audiences grew smaller and smaller,and they had to give it up. A new team took over but the poor support that the new manager received took its toll and he left.This company has now given up and two young men have taken the place on.With the free pool table and putting music acts back on, on a more regular basis they are having a go. However the old regulars are slowly moving away and have have followed Terry and Pam Kent to the Highway on Willerby Road. Beer prices are still affecting the pub due to managed houses around the area selling cheaper beer and providing food.
