The Dove,Evington-Leicester. 18/02/11. The steaks were luke warm, and the sauce much too salty. Everyones chips were near enough burnt. One dinner that should have had chips was served with new potatoes. Another meal had a fried egg served up ready garnished with lots of black pepper? Was this taken from another customers plate? We definately think it was. Who adds pepper to a meal? This why you have the salt/pepper at the table? The cauliflower tasted so much of vinegar it was surely off. I made the waitress taste it at the table and she had to spit it back out. The fried egg was replaced. I can honestly say this was the worst pub meal any of us had ever had. The enviromental health and the Brewery concerned should be very worried. My motherin law was a publican for years and feels sure the egg must have come off someone elses plate. To sum up we were very angry at having our well earnt £45.00 took off us for this tosh.Seriously avoid this pub!
