Called in here last week and got greeted by a very drunk barman. I ordered one pint of holts bitter and 2 pints of lager. I took a sip out of my pint of bitter and it was sour and slightly cloudy. I said to the barmaid that it wasn't right. I said can I have a pint of lager and I will pay for it as didn't want to make a fuss! The barmaid was great and pulled me another pint. As I sat down the drunk barman said "there's nothing wrong with it I'm drinking it, I'm sick of foreigners coming in here"! Is this the welcome you get at the egerton arms?? As for being a foreigner, I grew up around the corner from this pub and drunk holts bitter for the past 20 years! I was a sh@t pint! Disgraceful pub! By the way I've been in this pub many times before and will not be returning! The salford arms is a far more welcoming pub with better ales on offer!
