This could be an excellent pub / restaurant, due to the fantastic window views. Unfortunately the food was absolutely shite ... servous shite... and over 30 minutes waiting for this food was a joke. A pound burger (ie McDonalds ) would have have been hotter and quicker .... I chose from the childs menu ... which oddly was the same size (but different price to an adults)...... going wrong somewhere there. This pub has such a good position in the centre of town.. but woh ....not going there again for a meal.... totally cold, and totally un-organised. Never to return. ....such a shame, such a prime location..

The Charles Grey is at a great location and the window tables are fantastic for 'people watching'. The bar maids are pleasant and certainly very easy on the eye. Unfortunately the food that we had there was poor. It took over 30 minutes to be served, which would have been fine if this had been reflected in the quality. The chicken burger was a very sad state of affairs but the chips were notably poor being undercooked and cold. Very disappointing.
