I think some people need to actually understand what the role of a pub landlord is! This place could do with a complete overhaul, including staff.

visited this pub last week to meet a friend. If you like a bar with no atmosphere, smells and the mens toilets could do with a splash of bleach it seems. The musical talent leaves a lot to be desired, and to loud. Will not be frequenting this pub again.

why employee so many bar staff, and b sat at the end of the bar yourself? cut down on hopeless staff and order more beer i have never ran a pub or wanted 2 but i would like 2 b able to think i could run a better pub blindfolded! i would never have my 2 sons sat on their lazy backsides doing notthing 24/7 so come on put more effort in and make this pub into the place it used 2 be!!

i used this pub alot in the past and liked it !

just lately its turned in 2 the worst pub in reading it now smells strongly of dogs and any time u visit this place there is no lagars or to that matter hardly any drinks at all ! its such a shame as it could still be a lovely pub if it was in the right hands
