Nice pints of real ale and a lovely wine list "for the lady". We really enjoyed our dinner here (steak and ale pie on mash, and wild salmon, with a triple chocolate bread and butter pudding to share for dessert). Little gem once you get inside.

This free house has recently been refurbished and now offers traditional british food. Good value for your money. I recently enjoyed a Sunday beef roast complete with gorgeous yorkshire pudding, crispy roasties, and lashings of gravy. The juke box piano and "local neighborhood boozer" free-hous feel are still in tact, and my bet is that pretty soon it will be difficult to get a table at The Marksman.
