Ate at the The Forager last night. Whilst the food was generally good I wouldn't say it was outstanding. For some reason I was expecting outstanding. The fish of the day with bean stew dish I had, for me, was far too liquid. A piece of fish sitting in a very thin broth, didn't look overly appealing. The food my friends had was apparently pretty good though.

The Timmothy Taylor Landlord beer and Harveys are both excellent. The drinks menu looks prety good generally. It's rare to get a choice of Tequilas (which get every bit as good as the best quality single malts, but most aren't aware of this becuase usually only the truly awful white Jose Cuervo or Sierra are sold in shops and bars) with a couple of Repasodo and Anejos on the list, will have to try them!

Ventured out to The Forager on Friday night. Having only been the during the day before was pleased to see it was suitably busy but still able to get a table.

Was good. Very decent pint of Harveys, unfortunately the only lager on tap was Staro - banana flavour - pramen.

Was a DJ playing in the front bit, but not imposingly loud like they often to do in pubs.

I popped in to the Forager early evening last week for a quick couple of drinks with my wife. There were a few people in and the decor was acceptable. However the prices were not acceptable for a pub. A pint of Harveys and a large glass of white wine came to £7.80.

Needless to say we only stopped for the one drink and found somewhere else for the next one.
