I had heard that this pub was under new management and doing live music on a sunday afternoon between 6 and 8 pm , so we thought we would go along . I had read the very negative reviews so i was pleasantly surprised to find a very welcoming atmosphere . The bar staff are really friendly and served us two lovely glasses of Pinot Grigio . Hot and cold bar snacks were supplied ( maybe a sunday thing ) and we joined in with James birthday ( one of the local regulars ) . People all around us were enjoying the football and rugby on the big screens , and using the pool tables .The musician that afternoon was excellent , singing a wide range of music to a very willing crowd .It was snowing that afternoon , but the atmosphere inside The Shoe Laces was very warm !!!!
