First time in Manchester and the smarmy barman ignored us for 10 minutes then when he did finally serve us he put out drink through the till which came up as £11 have him at £20 note then he have us £2 change we asked why and he said our drinks were £9 each which is disgusting, he then walked off before we could argue and told a man at the back of the bar while laughing and looking at us, also the drinks were awful, cheap vodka and even cheaper coke, would not recommend this place to anyone!

Crap night out in Sugar Buddha, requested to see the manager as I wanted to make a complaint about a particular bar member who refused to serve me because I 'waved' him over. I was repeatedly told the manager was busy so I said I would wait, then I was told he left to go home as I was stood at the bar waiting 4 him. Subsequently lost my handbag, friend was forcefully pushed down the stairs by the same barman as she was looking for my handbag. Tried to call the bar however the phone number is 'not recognised'. Rubbish management, very rude bar staff (all the others were lovely). Its just a shame a few rude individuals can totally ruin an experience such as this one. Never going back!

My friend asked the doorman if she could pop out to put our other friend in a taxi quickly then come back in and he said this was fine. When she came back shortly afterwards he refused her entry quite rudely and she was forced to wait outside for us to finish our drinks. As we went to leave, I quickly asked the doorman why he had told her she could come back in and was told to ‘shut up and go home’. I then tried to speak to someone claiming to be the manager and was eventually told to ‘f*ck off’ because we were ‘all ugly anyway’. I was completely shocked that someone in a managerial position would deal with a customer in this way. I’m not surprised to read that bar staff are sometimes rude when the manager sets such a poor example.

Visited Sugar Buddha on Saturday 24 July 2010. We came down from Liverpool after hearing a new guy had taken over running the night for Sintillate. We went a few weeks ago and it was on the quiet side but this time was completely different. The music was exactly as promised on facebook, cool people and everyone was feeling the vibe. Good to see Sintillate back in Manchester!!!

We were on the guest list for Sugar Buddah, however were refused entry (as were a group of black girls before us)- reason given was that there were already too many girls in the bar, however a group of blonde white girls were allowed in straight after us.

I went to ask why they were allowed in and we were not and was simply told the management has rights to refuse entry.

I can't believe places like this, who probably let in a very small amount of coloured people to hide the fact they racist

So unless your white don't bother going there!

The venue is nice, very small but nice. The female on the door in charge of guest list is racist, awful and bitter..... then again to look at her face I'm not suprised she's bitter!
