Bar Brel is one of my favourite pubs in the West end - Situated in the trendy Ashton Lane area the all blue (painted front its not a Gers pub) Bar Brel has an amazing selection of beers (really top class)however it does cost a bit more, then again its a classy bar. The bar has a Belgian theme to (named after Jaques Brel- I assume- the singer songwriter) and attracts a trendy and mixed bunch of arty folk but theres always a good atmosphere in the place - when its busy though you do get "bumped" a lot with folk going to and from the bar. Food is excellent with Mussels their speciality, but lots of other good harty pub food (it's generally "peasant" food so they make it arty and charge a bit for it but it is very good) Bar staff are very nice. Well worth a visit for a classy night out (whilst still wearing your jeans)
