There's always a feeling of dread when you enter an Irish bar in Glasgow, is it going ot be a decent one or one full of nutters. This is neither its Excellent. classy, traditional and fun. It has a small bar area at one end in a narrowish pub with dark wood floors and wood paneling / seating etc that give a nice atmosphere. The walls have pics of Gaelic footballers etc & team strips (no Gers/Celts tot to worry about)with extracts from & picturs of famous Irist writers on the walls. Seating is ok with snug type areas that are nice if you can get one (gets very busy at weekend). You can smoke/drink outside with barrels available for your pint (but it is simply a standing area thats cordined off). Aston Lane is a grat place at best of times but this pub would work anywhere - nice staff, good crowd of folk etc - good beer slection & they pour a great pint (& I hear a marevelous Guiness). All Irish bars should be like this (heck all bars could learn from this place)_ Well worth a visit.
