This has been recreated from a bit of a dump to not a bad boozer. The music at night is great. I would change the current West beer to St Mungo and the manager needs to cheer up. Otherwise great, give it a try!!

I have been in this bar a few times in the past. I have heArd the manager moan at the staff

And also the bar smells of drugs. Really strong smell of cannabis.

I have also seen 1 of the security remove a man from the bar who is

A regular in there because of this smell.

I was unhappy of this and would not return to this bar because of this

Matter.

Security members very polite.

This pub has changed its name to Hootenanny and has been under new management for a few months now (as at July 2010). The differences to the decor look minor but its made a great difference to the feel and look of the place. I pop in (with mates or on my own when Im "Johnny no pals") on a Saturday and it's always friendly. The staff are really friendly and quick to serve. The place has a real buzz about it now and the live music from David Duffy (an excellent guitarist/singer who used to play in O'Henrys) and Renegade (very very good also)are top drawer playing rock, blues type music that gets the punters up for a boogie now and then. Beer / spirit selection is good and the clientele is wide ranging in age and demographic, altohugh most are rock based and office workers. Toilets could do with a bit of a change but serve their purpose I suppose and time to get the ceiling fixed. But definately one of the best places to go in Glasgow for live muisc and a cheap entertaining night out.
