I had a horrible experience at this pub! We had a beer and were chatting to some locals a little loud but had been asked quite politely by a member of the pubs bar staff to be a little quieter, no problems until, out of nowhere the Land Lord came out and shouted at us to be quiet or get out, whilst he was shouting he put his thumb to his neck and made a very clear cutting gesture.

We were just out for a few beers, I found this incredibly insulting and aggressive.

Two people who had just arrived tell us how appalled they were with what had occurred as we left. We by chance bumped into the same couple on the bus home around 30 min later and they again reiterated to us that people from Oxford were not like that (we are all antipodeans) and they informed us that they had left and would not be returning.
