Great pub, good selectionof beers and has a few guest ales on at the weekend - staff friendly and halpful can be busy at times ona Saturday and takes a few minutes to get served - food is fine (usual bar fare - snacks, ie crisps etc not great selection) Punters range from regulars to folk passing to and from Queen st and Central stations - safe pub for a pint in the centre = McScotty

I realy like the Drum & Monkey, a Glasgow city centre gem. Although it has a regular clientel it also has a lot of first time and semi regulars visiting on the way to / from Glasgow central and Queen St stations which adds to the nice atmosphere in the Bar. The decor is nice, obviously an old Bank with marbel (looking) pillars and wood panels, high ceilings and a nice selection of oddities on ledges etc to look at(ie a monkey on a drum !! duh!) a nice long centre bar with a great selection of beers / spirits (& usually 2-3 guest ales at any time). Food is traditional (with a twist) Scottish/ British. Nice/friendly bar staff with good/ample seating (and a meal area in the back). Worth a visit.
